The Golden Gate Bridge, Twin Peaks Summit, Walt Disney Family Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, historic Pier 39, Alcatraz and San Francisco Aquarium are just some of the great tourist attractions the city has to offer. Here are a few ideas:

San Francisco Hop-On Hop-Off Tours

Basic tours run daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, about every 10 to 15 minutes in summer and every 20 to 30 minutes in winter, each lasting 2.5 hours. They take in some of the most famous landmarks, including Golden Gate Bridge. Sausalito Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour

Take a Big Bus Trolley for this one: tours to Sausalito operate daily from 10.15 am to 4.30 pm, running every 20 to 30 minutes and lasting about one hour. Sausalito is only a short distance from Golden Gate Bridge. This chic area is filled with trendy boutiques, wonderful restaurants and cafes, art galleries and gift shops. Sausalito is charming and still a seaside town of the old school. The tour takes in Golden Gate Bridge North Vista Point, Downtown Sausalito and South Vista Point of the Bridge.

Golden Gate Bay Cruise

Operating since 1939, these 1-hour boat tours depart daily from 10.00 am onwards. Take a look at the Golden Gate Bridge from below and see the horrors of Alcatraz Island for yourself. If you're lucky, you'll also see pelicans, dolphins, whales and sea lions on the way. This tour also passes historic vessels moored at Hyde Street Pier. Trips end at historic Pier 39, built in 1905.

Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour

This tour takes half a day, allowing you to see the coastal redwood forest of Muir Woods National Monument and Downtown Sausalito's delightful picturesque streets. It takes only 30 minutes to reach the redwood forest, travelling across the Golden Gate Bridge. The tour ends at your pick-up point, after a brief exploration of Sausalito's charms.

Yosemite National Park from San Francisco

Ever wondered what panning for gold was like during the Gold Rush? Take a trip into Great Central Valley and the Sierra Nevada Foothills to find out! You'll spend ca 4 hours in Yosemite Park, with a one-hour guided tour explaining main sites and three hours exploration on your own.
