San Francisco International Airport Train Transfers

San Francisco International Airport has four terminals: 1, 2, 3 and the International Terminal, which has two boarding areas, A and G.

AirTrain:

It is San Francisco International Airport's people-mover system, a free train service that is fully automated, linking all four terminals, the two international terminal garages, BART station and SFO's Rental Car Center. Blue Train goes to the Rental Car Center, where several car rental companies have desks on Level 4 and two have their rental stations on Level 1. The trip takes only 10 minutes. AirTrains run 24/7.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit):

Opened in June 2003, San Francisco Airport's BART station offers direct rail transport to northern San Mateo County destinations, Downtown San Francisco and East Bay. At the International Terminal the BART station is located on the Departure's Ticketing Level on Boarding Area G side. The Antioch-SFO/Millbrae Line and the SFO-Millbrae Line both serve the International Terminal and BART station. All terminals have direct links to the BART station via AirTrains, which run to Parking Garage G/BART Station stop. Here tickets can be purchased for the journey into Downtown San Francisco, San Mateo County or East Bay, and onward destinations like Richmond or Oakland International Airport. For BART tickets and timetables, please visit www.bart.gov.
